What Happened to Countere?
It’s sometime in the future, and you’ve stumbled upon this site. Perhaps you’re wondering: Where did everyone go?
For almost 5 years, we ran this site for nothing but love of the game: inspired by early internet principles, committed to free information, and devoted to making the world weirder. We were fortunate to work with some rather large public figures and to publish many unique voices. We’ve genuinely seen Countere’s influence in other media projects and magazines, big and small, since.
But it was time to move on. One of us enlisted in the French Legion. Another retired to an alpaca sanctuary. A third sailed to the Galapagos Islands in search of a woman he met online and hasn’t been heard from since.
As for me? When I was asked to be Editor-in-Chief of this site, I was an autistic, flat-Earth-believing, geocentric “incel” living in a shipping container that doubled as a Faraday cage. Now, I’ve cured my autism through proper nutrition, I’m married to a beautiful woman, we own our own house, we have two kids and growing, I can bench 250 pounds, and most importantly, I found God.
Feel free to peruse these archives at your heart’s delight. You will find elite knowledge—and still some hidden secrets—within.
Signing Off,
John Flowers
Editor-in-Chief, Countere Magazine
P.S. I spoke to Tanzanian Wojak the other day. He sends his regards.
